As I get older I’m finding some of my pedestrian collection to be hard work. I’m toying with the idea of buying a ride on for ploughing events. I’m not bothered about winning prizes so the machine doesn’t have to be the best for the job! I’d like something vintage or classic.
The limiting factor is weight. I’ll have to transport on my Commer PB and anything above about 700kg will be pushing the limits, ideally 500kg maximum.
    Any suggestions?
I’ve thought about a Trusty Steed, although I know there’s one about at the moment it looks pricey. Anyone know it’s weight?
    Or maybe a small Gutbrod?
I had been thinking about a Gunsmith but I’d need to buy another ramp to take the middle wheel, and they’re not exactly cheap. Also I’d prefer four wheels for stability.
I’d be very grateful for any other suggestions as to a potentially suitable type of machine.
    Thanks!
Hope to see some of you at events soon, it’s been a long 18 months wait!
