It infureates me when looking on the forum on a problem you have and the reply is I have sent you a PM what good is that to other members with the same problem
The reason for using a pm is that the reply may contain personal information eg phone number or email, not something you want to publish openly on the internet. The pm may not actually contain an answer but how to contact someone with the answer.
