As some of you may know, I’ve recently started ploughing with the SIMAR 56.
I’m slowly getting the hang of it, for the majority of the ploughing I find it easier to have the plough floating, seems to be much easier to control and straighter. I have it fixed for the split, I think it would produce a better result to leave it fixed for the full six opening furrows. Am I right?

I have a married couple who are very good friends and both are ploughing judges and am at present trying to fix a reversable plough and need the same answer ie fixed or allowed to swing ( if swing how much)
When I have their opinion I will post the result on here for everyone
