    put either nuts and bolts or clean gravel in the tank and shake it about when all rust is removed it might be worth treating the tank with a sealer in case there are pin holes in it

    Mine was scrap because of the degree of rusting. I sweated the soft soldered filler neck out and can use that when I fabricate a new one. For now a plastic auxiliary tank for a night heater off Ebay will do. 4.5l capacity for a few quid.
    Cutters are razor sharp and very robust, it will cut 1 inch thick hawthorn stems.

    Hi Iain, i have inherited this Allen scythe from my uncle but really know very little, like your one i think this is an mk11c engine, the serial number seems to be lower in the 16000’s, also would like some info on them.
