I took the attached picture in 2014 at Newark of a Howard Mini-Gapper, Owned at the time by Mr. Mervyn Gathercole of Kings Lyn, Norfolk.

Did any early mowers have Blackburn engines, Blackburn was an aircraft firm, they were used in some motorcycles and Morgan 3 wheelers….

I too have an unknown barrow sprayer. I’ve never seen anything like it but it has a paddle as well. They may have been made by local blacksmith for a large estate.

I have a book for the F15 engine and it mentions a Flywheel extractor, it seems it doesn’t self-extract like the older Villiers engines.
