Hello,
Found three of these cast items in a pile of architectural ironmongery and other iron work in a store shed at work. Lots of gate hinges, snecks, tie bars from brick walls, vanes from a Wakes Lamb wind pump, etc, etc, etc….

The cast item is shown alongside a 50p…all that was in my pocket…for scale. It has a coarse thread in the hole at the base of the taper.

Any ideas.??

It looks like we can rule out it being a horticultural bit of cast iron then.?? 😉
