Any clues re this machine would be most welcome. I was given it recently, ito has an 11hp Broggs and Stratton engine, which has no pull start, just electric and with five speed gearbox. Cutter deck is missing but no problem just now. Whether it runs remains to be seen but at present it can be pushed forwards but when pushed backwards, one rear wheel insists on turning forwards only!

I’m not sure how old it is or wherebImcan download or buy a manual and would appreciate any advice.

We’re in Somerste and if anyone has engine or other spares for sale it could be of interest.

    Email is Meg.7@btinternet.com
    Many thanks,

    David

Its a S11OO model from the late 1980,s.The gearbox (transaxle) is made by Peerless. If you put the gear lever in the Neutral position the tractor should be able to be pushed either forwards and backwards easily (presuming the parking brake is not on of course or the gearbox internals / differential are not damaged).

have you taken the belt off the drive pulley and any other belt driven attachments make sure the gear lever is in neutral that will isolate the axel/gearbox from all else. davey.
