Interesting article in a Australian magazine I subscribe to on the Winget tractor produced under license by the Pederick Engineering Company at Wagin in Western Australia
Under the arrangement Winget supplied one complete tractor and the Lister engine, transmissions and steering gear for 14 further tractors.Pederick manufactured the chassis, front axle, wheels seat and bodywork. Only the 14 were produced and at least two have survived in tractor museums in Western Australia. Several were made without electrics and with spark arrestors fitted for use on airfields towing refueling tankers and others in agricultural specification with 3 point linkage, pto and electrics. Plough, cultivator,disc harrow, rotary hoe,transport box,rotary mower, tipping trailer and front end loader were available attachments
The tractors look like english produced one’s but painted yellow with a side bonnet badge “WINGET by PEDERICK”
Australia must have been a big market for British and European tractors in that period and not forgetting the large number of American tractors arriving with International having a factory at Geelong to get round Australian Commonwealth import tariffs
