I have been trying to get my mg6 to start and run smooth but I am not getting any were.
I have took the head of and turned the engine to tdc and set the crank shaft so the key way is at 12 o clock set the cam shaft so the key way is at 9 o clock
I then turned the Magnéto shaft till it clicked and fitted the timing chain
I have checked the Magnéto sparks at tdc
But have noticed that the valve clearance is good on the compression stroke at tdc but not when on the other strokes
I have fitted a new condenser to the Magnéto and checked the points
But cannot get the engine to run
The carburettor is getting fuel as I seem to be getting fuel running back to the air inlet hose
I do get a mis fire now and then
Any help would be appreciated
I have had some help from some members and thank them
Am I setting the timing correct
