Powere barrow

    I have a powered barrow made by the York forge and welding co ltd in warkwickshire .it is fitted with a B.S.A. f12? engine
    Has any person any information as not able to find any on the internet

    It looks like they used to be located in King’s Heath, Birmingham in the 1950’s (which used to be part of Warwickshire before West Midlands became a county). One of their more famous products was the BarOMix cement mixer, and I know this was made in Alcester, Warwickshire up until about fifteen years ago when they went into receivership.

    I haven’t seen a picture of their power barrow, though.

    I have seen references to these before although all I can remember is something about there being a couple of models so a MK1 and a MK2 version?

    I cannot find any reference to the machines in the archives but there is a Baromix (York Forge) advert with an address when located at Kings Heath:
