    My local aerodrome was having a clear out of one of its hangers and I came accross these for sale. They were used to keep the rough grass down around the runway (apart from the sunbeam Winkie trike of course!)
    Looks like they have not been used for many years; have started with the oldest hayter which after some tinkering is now running.
    Think I will get on to one of the Allen Scythes next.

    Those look interesting, I’ve got an Allen scythe buried somewhere in the barn, and I recall a yellow Allen scythe at a show – the scythe was painted yellow for visibility as it had been used at an airport.
