    Hello,
I’ve been helping a guy moving his machinery and we’ve come across this single wheel motor hoe. No makers name or id plate on it, just a mark where a sticker has been. Anyone know what make it is,
    Thanks Ian.

Handle bars look like Merry Tiller, so does the chassis. Could this be a modified Merry Tiller that someone has added an Albion gear box to? A photo of the other side would help.

I’m with Charlie on this one , it certainly shows signs of being a homemade conversion , although I’d say the handles are Westwood.

The welded chain case looks Westwood also.

The gearbox / chassis reminds me of a Colwood, what is the engine? Clinton?

I haven’t a clue what engine is on it, it looks as though it’s had a sticker on it though.

We also uncovered this Coleby with a push plough.

The chaincase and handles are Westwood as Wristpin has already said. The engine is a Briggs and Stratton.

The Coleby looks as if it has been modified too.

The orange one looks very similar to this Mayfield one currently being offered on a certain selling site.

Just realised that it had Allen Mayfield on the belt guard so guess that it’s a real ” bitza”

I can’t recall the proper name or model for it , but that is a genuine Mayfield product.

Prompted by Andyfrost’s comment I take back my “bitsa” comment – how about a Mayfield Hoe and Mow?
