The latest addition to my Geo Monro collection, a wooden box that once contained Cyanogas. From adverts in The Fruit Grower it seems this was used to kill whitefly and also rabbits and rats. The attached article details its use against rats and rabbits. Advert is dated May 21st 1936 and article June 18th 1936. Long before todays health and safety laws and restrictions on pesticides. The box is marked with a G so I assume this is the grade G referred to in the advert.
