Does anyone want an early (1940s/1950s) Tarp “Grassmaster” – a rotary grass cutter? It consists of an electric motor mounted on three wheels driving a horizontally rotating blade (photograph attached of the business end – including the handle it is about 135 cm high)). My mother bought it second-hand (at least) in 1969, and was told then that it was “quite old”. I have had it since her death in 1988 and would like to find it a new home. I do not know whether it still works (I did use to use it), nor whether it is still electrically safe.
It is available free for anyone who is prepared to collect it from my address in Richmond-upon-Thames

The earliest reference and advert I have to the Grassmaster is 1951, so it could well have been several years old by 1969.
