The latest addition to my collection, thanks to a fellow club member who very kindly donated it. Engine stopped last time he used it and it requires stripping to find problem, suspects it could be bearings.

Nice one Charlie, I presume that it is one of those German two stroke
diesel engines. Looking forward to hearing/seeing it at Weeley next
    September.

Sorry. Checked the photo again and saw the sparking plug.
    Senior moment.

It certainly looks like a two-stroke, so you’re partly right!

Any idea of it’s age, Charlie?

Charlie , that really is a superb find , even better it has a reversable plough with it , just goes to show how far ahead the continentals were with their machines.
I’m guessing late 1920s to early 30s, be nice to see it at Weeley……….. anything rather than another Trusty.

May be on this occasion, but remember that Allis Chalmers had a tractor engine running on diesel fuel but with spark and not compression ignition.

Believed to be around 1939. It has been to GDSF. When it is up and running I will bring it to Weeley to join the Trusty’s, Howards, Simar and other makes of machine we see there.
