Type A with turn over plough and non-standard wheels.
Does anyone have a clue who might have made the plough? it looks a bit amateurish but fairly sturdy.
Machine purchased last year after spending 35-40 years in crumbling shed, purchased from son of the original purchaser, used all it’s life near Carmarthen on a smallholding.

A cracking restoration, Chris. I’ve no idea who made the plough even though it looks professionally produced.

It’s interesting how the manufacturer has got around using too much metal (and adding weight) by using the knife coulter and beam to do both sides, and the pivot just changes the boards over. Very clever and very simple.

Whilst not a rare machine, you certainly don’t see them around the rallies very much. I will look forward to seeing this one!

That’s a cracker , nice to see another of the pioneer of British garden tractors restored.

    Does it run sweetly??

Garden machines from this era are rare indeed, well done for saving that one, Chris…

Auot Culto did make a turnover plough, shown in the picture on a model D (or E – difficult to tell from the flywheel side). It looks to be the same as yours. The brochure it came from had a price adjustment for 1939, and shows the model DX, but all of the attachments are shown with the previous range of models, so is probably from 1938.
